NFL roster no. 3: Denver Broncos

45. . . . Denver Broncos. 3. team

The Denver Broncos had a good roster last year, they just needed the missing piece — a franchise quarterback.

You could certainly see the pieces of this roster falling into place the last couple of years with a tremendous group of offensive skill players, an improving offensive line, and a defense that has always been solid under Vic Fangio.

Now, Nathaniel Hackett takes the helm as the team’s new head coach with former Los Angeles Rams defensive assistant Ejiro Evero as the defensive coordinator.

Those guys have the task of leading the Russell Wilson era in Denver starting in 2022, and Wilson’s presence certainly makes the skill position group in Denver even more exciting.

Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon are back as this team’s running back duo.

Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy, and KJ Hamler return as the team’s core of receivers, and they are joined by the athletic young duo of Albert Okwuegbunam and Greg Dulcich at tight end.

Defensively, the Broncos have a healthy Bradley Chubb and one of the top free agent pass rushers available in 2022 — Randy Gregory.

Not only that, but the team used its top pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on Oklahoma’s Nik Bonitto for added pass rush depth.

The secondary is led by Pat Surtain II, one of the best young corners in the game, as well as Justin Simmons, arguably the top ball-hawking safety in football right now.

This roster is ready to compete for a title again.
