The Dallas Cowboys roster will have a lot of competition when it comes to building the 53-man roster and these 3 could be on the outside looking in come Week 1

After winning 12 games in 2021, the Dallas Cowboys were a quick exit in the playoffs, suffering a loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, they have actually lost some of their big-name stars with Amari Cooper being traded to Cleveland and Randy Gregory signing in Denver.

Even with them gone, the Cowboys have some interesting battles going on as they enter camp.

With that being the case, here are three talented players who could end up missing out as they cut the roster down to 53 players.

Dallas Cowboys potential cut No. 3: Trysten Hill, DT

Trysten Hill was the first player Dallas drafted in 2019, which was the same year they were without a pick in Round 1 due to their trade for Amari Cooper. Taken at No. 58 overall, Hill was an addition that was quickly questioned.

After spending his final season at UCF as a reserve due to his inability to get along with coaches, the Cowboys tried to tap his talent under the tutelage of defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli. And Marinelli was all about adding Hill, and it seemed as though they allowed the assistant coach to sway them on the selection.

Then after speaking up for Hill, Marinelli seemed to tap out on him quickly as he spent his rookie season in the dog house. Under the new staff, he’s shown more potential but managed to play in just 11 games the past two seasons due to injury.

Dallas now enters the 2022 campaign with more talent at defensive tackle including Neville Gallimore, Osa Odighizuwa, Carlos Watkins, and rookie John Ridgeway. In the end, that could make it too crowded for Hill, who could be out of time in Big D.
