It’s not just about the money for Tyreek Hill

Hill made sure that his agent Drew Rosenhaus repeated the words that Hill wanted to stay in Kansas City and that it was not just about the money, but it just wasn’t enough money. Confused? You should be.

"Ultimately, the team’s offer was just millions of dollars short on the guaranteed compensation. Tyreek’s got children. It’s hard to walk away from millions of dollars. Drew Rosenhaus (via Bro Bible)"

Hill said it was not about the money but during his show, Rosenhaus openly stated that he told General Manager Brett Veach they expected a deal for Hill similar to Davante Adams who signed a $140 million dollar 5-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Not about the money but Hill wanted to be paid more than the highest-paid receiver in the league? Got it.

"They valued me like Davante Adams but didn’t wanna pay me like Davante Adams. Tyreek Hill (via The Cheetah podcast)"

Kansas City Chiefs missing The Cheetah?

The episode contained more than enough contradictions and shots directed at the organization but Hill took one final swing at his former quarterback.

Hill may not be entirely wrong here; the Chiefs offense will have new challenges to face in the upcoming season as Mahomes has lost one of his top targets and one of the top receivers in the league.

The comment by Hill however seems to be bitter in nature and doesn’t lend much optimism to his former team that they will be good without him.
