NFL QB no. 4: Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Ask any New York Giants fan about Daniel Jones, and you’ll likely get an unclear answer. He’s not bad enough to hate him, but he hasn’t done enough to love him. There has always been an excuse to make for Jones.

Saquon Barkley was hurt, and the offensive line has been bad. This is the season where the excuses come to an end.

New Giants General Manager Joe Schoen hired Brian Daboll, hoping to mimic the success of Josh Allen. Jones and Allen have identical skill-sets.

Like Allen, Jones is a big athletic quarterback who can control the game with their legs. Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal are bookends at the tackle spots, so protection is there.

Wan’Dale Robinson is a speedy wideout who’ll come in to play with Kenny Golladay and another speedster, Kadarius Toney.

The NFC East is there for the taking. It’s a lot to ask, but Jones has to step his game up. He doesn’t have the faith of the Giants brass yet, but this is the year for him to earn their respect.

If not, he won’t see a contract. The 2023 NFL Draft has a slew of incoming prospects who will become the new Giants quarterback.
