NFL QB no. 1: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Surprised to see his name on the list? You shouldn’t be.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback has the most pressure of any quarterback in the NFC North, maybe even the NFL. Part of the reason he has so much pressure is his greatness.

Rodgers is at the end of his career. He’s made no quarrels about retirement. In fact, he invited the conversation.

If he retired today, he’d do so with one Super Bowl victory and 10 playoff losses. Of course, no team can win every year, but three of the Packers’ losses came in overtime.

The Rodgers-led Packers also lost four conference championships and five on the final play.

This includes last season’s playoff loss to the 49ers, where Rodgers couldn’t find the end zone through the air. Who can forget the season before against the eventual Super Bowl champs — Buccaneers?

He had the ball on the eight yard-line down 23-31. With the ball in hand, Rodgers decided not to run. Instead, he threw an incomplete pass. The Packers lost 26-31.

Rodgers decided not to retire. He has the big contract, but not his top two wide receivers, Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

The reigning MVP is talented enough to make any wide receiver look good, but can he get the Packers over the hump?

That’s the lingering question surrounding Aaron Rodgers, who has yet to prove he can get it done when it counts the most. This is a legacy year for Rodgers.
