The Pittsburgh Steelers are going through a transition this offseason and some players could be on the outside looking in once they figure out their roster

This is going to be a year full of change for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they enter their first campaign since 2004 without Ben Roethlisberger on the roster.

Pick Analysis. 3. Scouting Report. RB. Steelers. Benny Snell. player. 55

Benny Snell was a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and it seemed the Steelers might have found a gem in the middle rounds. He didn’t blow anyone away with his speed or athleticism but he was a wildly productive runner in the SEC for the Kentucky Wildcats.

In the NFL, he has yet to really become a factor — and has never averaged more than 3.9 yards per attempt in a season. Overall, he has 892 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground in his career but had just 98 yards last season as Najee Harris became the workhorse for the Steelers offense.

He does, however, play very well on special teams, which has been his claim to a roster spot for the first three seasons he’s been in the league.

However, as he enters year four, he’s going to need to offer more than that or risk being replaced. That’s why it wouldn’t be a major surprise to see him looking for a new home by Week 1.
