13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

48. Scouting Report. 13. player. Pick Analysis. OT. Georgia. Andrew Thomas

Original pick: Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might need to be sending some Thank You cards to the teams in front of them in this draft class for not selecting Tristan Wirfs.

The Bucs found themselves in a great situation here, landing one of the top offensive tackles in the league and a missing piece of the offensive line that helped them win the Super Bowl in 2020.

It’s unreasonable to think Andrew Thomas could be a one-for-one swap with Wirfs but he’s shown progress in his first two NFL seasons and the Bucs were clearly drafting for need here.

With Wirfs off the board, Thomas is the pick for the Tom Brady-led Bucs.

14. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

Brandon Aiyuk. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 14. 42. Arizona State

Original pick: Javon Kinlaw, DL, South Carolina

The San Francisco 49ers acquired this pick from the Indianapolis Colts in the DeForest Buckner trade and just ended up taking his replacement in Javon Kinlaw.

Later on in this first round, they landed Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State.

In order to secure Aiyuk knowing what we know now, they’ve got to take him here instead.

In his first two NFL seasons, Aiyuk has almost 1,700 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns, and he looks like he could be one of the league’s bigger breakout stars of the 2022 season.
