NFL team no. 2: Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t lived up to the once-in-a-generation billing. Super Bowl-winning Head Coach Doug Pederson has a chance to turn the former No. 1 overall pick into a superstar.

The AFC South is a winnable division for a team with the Jags’ potential. Derrick Henry is a year older and coming off an injury.

Ryan Tannehill doesn’t have AJ Brown, and we saw what he was in without a running game in the playoffs. As for the Colts, we have no idea what Matt Ryan has left in the tank, but the pressure is on.

Meanwhile, the Texans have a lot of work to do, though Davis Mills showed he can be a successful starter in the NFL.

Offensively, the Jags added players to help Lawrence succeed. They have a strong running game with James Robinson. They also have Lawrence’s college teammate, Travis Etienne, returning from injury. He has the potential to be a dual-threat dynamic weapon out of the backfield.

Their offensive line has the potential to be one of the best in the league. And at wide receiver, they spent money on a deep-threat Christian Kirk to pair with Marvin Jones and Zay Jones.

Laviska Shenault Jr is a powerful YAC guy who can develop into something special On the defensive side of the ball, the additions of Devin Loyd and Travon Walker should help them, but they have ways to go.

If Lawrence takes that jump and the offense comes together — the Jags could take the South.
