2022 NFL Season: 3 Teams that could turn bad luck into good fortune
NFL team no. 1: New York Giants
For the last few seasons, the New York Giants fans have felt nothing but disappointment. Joe Schoen was brought in to breathe new life into the franchise.
He dipped into his Buffalo Bills roots and hired Brian Daboll to help reshape the G-Men. This is the NFL, so it all starts and ends with the quarterback.
More than any season, Daniel Jones has a ton of pressure coming into his final season as a Giant.
Jones has elite traits in terms of athleticism and arm strength. The problem is that he hasn’t lived up to his draft billing. Every year there’s an excuse for Jones, and it started with the horrid offensive line play.
Evan Neal was taken in the first round with the potential to be a Pro Bowl tackle. They already have Andrew Thomas, so their tackle spots are much improved.
Saquon Barkley is on a mission to prove he’s not a bust. If he’s healthy for a full season, the Giants’ offense will run through him.
At wideout, the Giants have dynamic talent with Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, and rookie Wan’Dale Robinson who can make plays after the catch. Kenny Golladay is a big-body wideout who can also make plays downfield.
Kayvon Thibodeaux was brought in to help improve the defense that needed a pass rusher. Hopefully, the veteran-filled defense can do enough. The NFC East is winnable for a team like the Giants that has the offensive potential to dominate the scoreboard.
