Los Angeles Rams: Trading Robert Woods for nothing

This one might be easy to shrug off from the outside looking in, but Los Angeles Rams fans had a hard time understanding just why they sent Robert Woods to the Tennessee Titans for next to nothing.

Yes, they won the title while he was hurt but Woods was one of the leaders of this offense, even being called the heart and soul of the unit during his half-decade with them by Bret Stuter of Ramblin Fan.

"“Yes, the Rams have added WR Allen Robinson to the roster. Yes, the  Rams want to add Odell Beckham Jr to the roster still. But Robert Woods in many ways was the heart and soul of this offense. In 68 games over five seasons with the team, he put up 4,626 yards, 23 touchdowns, and caught 66.5 percent of the passes thrown his way.  But he was more than a pass catcher. Over that same timeframe, he rushed 70 times for 485 yards and another five touchdowns. And he was one of the best blocking wide receivers in the game.” — Stuter, Ramblin Fan"

Woods is often praised for the fact that he does so much more than catch the ball and while Allen Robinson was added, this offense is one of the few that had enough passes to go around.

If they re-sign Odell Beckham, Jr. it will help, but this departure meant they lost a player who was much more than just his stats — although those were solid as well.
