While every NFL team surely wants to improve every year, there still are some weaknesses on each team. We look at the biggest weaknesses for NFC West franchises.
This past offseason was an interesting one for a handful of NFL teams, and some of those teams play in the NFC West. One team that had an interesting off-season that also plays in the NFC West is the Seattle Seahawks.
Every team in the NFL always wants to improve their QB play because of how important the position is, and one team who was in desperate need of one was the Denver Broncos. Denver has had a quality roster with good pieces all over the place, but they didn’t have the QB.
There were rumors connecting the Broncos to a multitude of different QBs in the NFL and the draft, but the move that ended up being made was for Russell Wilson as he joined the Broncos via trade.
While the Broncos certainly upgraded when it came to the QB position, the same can’t quite be said for the Seahawks. The Seahawks lost Wilson to the Broncos, and in turn received some pieces, one of them being now-former Broncos QB, Drew Lock.
Lock has struggled in his first few seasons in the NFL, and puts the Seahawks in an interesting spot.
In other QB news, the Cardinals and Kyler Murray are in an interesting spot. News started circulating around Murray wanting a big new extension earlier this off-season, but so far nothing has come to light yet.
The Cardinals have traded for a receiver in the form of Hollywood Brown, but there are still some issues in terms of Murray’s contract.
The 49ers haven’t had a ton of news surrounding their players or player transactions, outside of Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance, of course, but there has been some news in the realm of coaches moving around.
The Miami Dolphins hired former 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. McDaniel has garnered a lot of hype with how well this 49ers offense has performed with him as offensive coordinator last season.
While the Rams won the Super Bowl this past season, they have also made plenty of moves this off-season.
LA brought in former Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner and former Bears receiver, Allen Robinson. They also shipped out Robert Woods to the Tennessee Titans.
While all of these teams have made this offseason an interesting one, there is still a weakness or two on each of these teams.
