3 NFL teams most likely to win their first ever Super Bowl in 2022
Which three NFL teams are most likely to win their first-ever Super Bowl in 2022? We take a look at the top three candidates this season.
The NFL has 32 teams at present, and 20 of them have won Super Bowls throughout their franchise’s history.
For those that don’t really care to do the mental math, that makes 12 NFL teams right now that have never won a Super Bowl.
As a matter of fact, there are four teams that have never even reached the Super Bowl, much less won it.
In 2022, that could change. Among the 12 teams that have never won a Super Bowl are some of this season’s strongest contenders.
Let’s take a look at the top three candidates to win their first ever Super Bowl in the 2022 season.
“Sorry, not you guys” first-time NFL Super Bowl contenders
I’m sure a bunch of Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and maybe even Minnesota Vikings fans will look through this list and angrily wonder why their teams are not represented here.
You hate to see it.
Tennessee Titans
Yes, you were the number one seed in the AFC last year.
How in the world did that happen again?
With all due respect to Mike Vrabel, a great coach who has gotten the most out of his players routinely, I don’t see this Titans team as a true, legitimate Super Bowl contender so long as Ryan Tannehill is the quarterback.
Arizona Cardinals
Did the Cardinals even get better in 2022?
You hate to be so harsh during the time when every NFL team is still undefeated, but just because Kyler Murray got his college buddy Hollywood Brown means nothing.
The Cardinals aren’t taking on Oklahoma State with Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt calling games.
Arizona’s defense got worse. DeAndre Hopkins is suspended to start the year. Kyler Murray doesn’t have a new contract. I think the Cardinals are poised to regress.
Minnesota Vikings
Your championship window ended as soon as the 2010s ended.
The Vikings reloaded defensively this offseason and I’ll even give them the benefit of the doubt with a new front office and coaching staff in place.
Is this Vikings roster the best in the NFC? Is it even the best in the NFC North?
Barring the miraculous, the Vikings will remain on the “never won a Super Bowl” list for another year.
