NFL RB no. 4: Travis Etienne Jr, Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence will be the focus in terms of media hype and coverage. If he’s going to find success under new head coach Doug Pederson, the running game will play a pivotal role. Brian Robinson may be the name that comes to mind for some.

He’s proven he can be a bell cow, but Travis Etienne Jr. is the better talent. The Jags’ old regime drafted Etienne to give Lawrence a familiar target and bring a dynamic aspect to the offense.

Unfortunately, an injury derailed his career before he could take a snap. Before his injury, the former Clemson back spent all off-season at wide receiver. He’ll get a chance to exploit those skills in 2022.

Robinson will take the bulk of the carries, or they’ll split them down the middle. Etienne will get the bulk of the touches.

Pederson’s offense isn’t known for receiving backs, but a player like Etienne can and will change his approach.

There’s a chance the former first-round pick will catch more than 60-passes for over 500-yards. He won’t just be a passing option for Lawrence.

On the ground, he is fast and powerful enough to make the best out of limited carries. He could add another 800 yards on the ground.
