NFL Week 1: Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks
A round of applause for the NFL league scheduling personnel; this is even juicier than the Baker Mayfield vs Cleveland Browns matchup.
Former Seahawks “12” quarterback Russell Wilson is now a Denver Bronco. For NFL Week 1 he is going back home to Seattle with his new team, new head coach, and new chance to get back to his championship form.
Seattle on the other hand doesn’t know who is starting at quarterback and whether it’s Drew Lock or Geno Smith things are looking bleak.
Head Coach Pete Carroll will be tasked with scheming against the quarterback he helped develop and ultimately win a Super Bowl with.
The tension in Lumen Field on Monday Night Football will be palpable. Both teams are starting the year off with new quarterbacks and in the Broncos’ case a new offensive system.
The Broncos roster, as it has to be in the AFC West, is loaded on both sides of the ball.
The Seahawks’ offensive line and defensive lines are questionable while their running backs and receivers (assuming DK Metcalf plays) are enticing.
Russell Wilson may enter a stadium filled with boos but when he leaves Broncos fans will be applauding. The Wilson era in Denver begins with a win against the team he led for 10 season. Let’s ride.
