NFL QB power rankings no. 14: Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Browns

14. player. Scouting Report. Cleveland Browns. . Pick Analysis. Deshaun Watson. 53

I maintain that the Cleveland Browns made an irresponsible deal to not just acquire Watson and add him to their roster but to pay him $230 million fully guaranteed.

I can understand the risk/reward proposition of Watson on the field, but why did any team have to sign him to a new contract upon acquiring him, much less a fully guaranteed, record-setting deal?

Watson could be suspended in 2022 for half the season, the entire season — no one knows.

On the field, the last time we saw him, he’s proven to be one of the most talented QBs in the league.

NFL QB power rankings no. 13: Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings

Pick Analysis. Minnesota Vikings. . 13. 60. Scouting Report. Kirk Cousins. player

For all his faults, Kirk Cousins has managed to consistently put up really good numbers for the majority of the last six or seven years.

He’s helped the Vikings’ playmakers really excel, but this team has not had the kind of collective success that everyone in Minnesota expected when he signed to a big-money deal in 2018 free agency.

With yet another new deal, Cousins really has to start helping the Vikings close out games and rack up the wins instead of just posting great stats.
