NFL QB power rankings no. 8: Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

After being stuck for over a decade in Detroit, Matthew Stafford was set free in 2021 and exceeded all expectations.

The Los Angeles Rams became Super Bowl champions in Stafford’s first year at the helm, and he proved to be exactly what they thought he would be — a perfect fit for Sean McVay’s offense.

The Rams took a rather big risk by trading away Jared Goff — their own former top overall pick who had already helped get them to a Super Bowl — to acquire Stafford.

That risk paid off in a big way and both Stafford and the Rams are now NFL immortality because of it.

NFL QB power rankings no. 7: Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

If this even exists, I think Justin Herbert is a slight tier below Josh Allen when it comes to the most freaky-gifted players at the quarterback position in the NFL today.

Herbert has the size, athleticism, arm talent, and tools to be an MVP candidate for the next decade-plus.

Herbert has been a superstar since he came into the league in 2020 and many expect him to take the Chargers to the promised land sooner rather than later.
