Most overrated player on every NFL team in the 2022 season

Jacksonville Jaguars: Travon Walker, EDGE
The climb Travon Walker made from the NFL Scouting Combine to draft night was unprecedented. The Georgia defensive lineman had just 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks in his first two seasons but then became a big name in his junior campaign when the Bulldogs won the NCAA Championship.
Walker finished with 33 tackles and six sacks, but was often overshadowed by other defenders such as Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Nakobe Dean. Throw in the fact that he was also on the field with Lewis Cine and Quay Walker who were first-round picks (as were Davis and Wyatt) and he would go some games where he was hardly noticed.

This isn’t a knock on him, just the fact of how loaded that defense was. Even so, Walker was seen as a surefire day one pick — but it wasn’t until after he posted some astronomical numbers, including a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash, at the Combine that he started to crack the top-10 conversation.
From there, he ended up suddenly becoming a contender for the top pick, which is what the Jacksonville Jaguars eventually did at No. 1. It was a bit of a surprise in a loaded class to see someone rise as much as he did, and it appears as though the scouting department put more faith in the workouts than the tape.
In the end, Walker could very well be a solid player but to take him as a potential franchise-altering guy feels like it could be a stretch.
