Most overrated player on every NFL team in the 2022 season

Seattle Seahawks: Jamal Adams, S
When the New York Jets decided to trade Jamal Adams, hardly anyone expected them to land the haul they got from the Seattle Seahawks. New York sent Adams and a fourth-round pick to Seattle in exchange for Bradley McDougald, two first-round picks, and a third-round pick.
Looking to return to the days of the ‘Legion of Boom’, the Seahawks’ desperation cost them — and their defense went in the wrong direction once Adams joined them.
Not known for his pass coverage, Adams gave them another player who could shut down the run but they had those in Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright at linebacker. Adding Adams did nothing to help their horrendous pass defense as he had just three pass deflections and no picks— although he did 9.5 sacks in 2020 which was impressive.

In 2021, he recorded no sacks at all but did at least have a career-high with two interceptions. Still, he’s not someone who can carry a defense on his back — but the Seahawks still signed him to a massive four-year deal worth up to $72 million.
Adams is still a player who can make an impact on the game but in a passing league, contracts such as his should be given out to those who can get the ball back for their team while also helping to eliminate the deep pass.
