Which NFL teams are the most overrated from every division heading into the 2022 season? We take a look at eight teams that might be pretenders.

Every year in the NFL, there are plenty of preseason favorites that end up letting their fan bases down. In 2021, teams that did this would include the Baltimore Ravens who struggled in large part due to health.

There was also the Seattle Seahawks, who completely fell apart before blowing things up this offseason.

Here, we take a look at one team from each division in the NFL that’s getting a little too much hype, which could lead to some broken hearts.

AFC East: Miami Dolphins

This offseason, the Miami Dolphins made an intriguing hire when they chose Mike McDaniel as their new head coach. A former assistant under Kyle Shanahan, the expectation is that McDaniel will completely revitalize the stagnant offense in Miami.

The front office has helped him in this regard as well, bringing in Tyreek Hill, Cedrick Wilson, Terron Armstead, and Sony Michel. Throw in the fact that they already had Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki and this offense could be deadly.

Having said that, there’s a major issue — the quarterback.

Miami is still rolling with Tua Tagovailoa and while there are plenty who believe in him, he has yet to show the consistency or durability needed to carry a team where they want to go.

They did add Teddy Bridgewater to ensure they have a capable backup but they have had to try too hard to make sure they’re covered for when — not if — Tagovailoa misses time.
