In fantasy football, a clever and funny team name is equally as important as your roster. Great fantasy football team names will be forever remembered.

Everyone wants their fantasy football team to be legendary, and a great fantasy team name can give you confidence going into your draft or even just week-to-week through the grind of the long NFL season. There isn’t really a wrong way to go about naming your fantasy football team, but plenty of people love to name their teams based on players they draft that particular year.

Fantasy Football Team Names based on first-round picks (part 1)

50. The Return of the King (Derrick Henry)

Derrick Henry was limited to just eight games last year, and even though he still posted as good or better numbers than a lot of NFL running backs, it’s still an opportunity to come back in the 2022 season for the “King”.

An obvious reference to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, any team that loves the greatest film trilogy of all time and is able to draft Derrick Henry this year could use this name.

49. Dalvin and the Chipmunks / Dalvin and Hobbes (Dalvin Cook)

If you draft Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, there are plenty of pop culture or clever names to go with. Cook is a top five running back and some have him as one of the top-10 fantasy options overall.

48. Hot Chubb Time Machine (Nick Chubb)

I mean, this one is just a classic, and Nick Chubb is an outstanding player to have on your fantasy team. ESPN lists Chubb as the RB14 for the 2022 season but if Chubb is your RB2, your team is probably sitting pretty nice. Chubb averages around 1,400 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns per season.

47. Baskin Dobbins (JK Dobbins)

Coming back from injury this year, Dobbins’ readiness for Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season is up in the air. His fantasy football valuation is reflective of that as he’s currently going around pick 56 or 57 in most redrafts, per Fantasy Pros. Taking a risk on Dobbins could be as sweet as one of Baskin Robbins’ 31 flavors.

46. Na-na-na-jee Unit (Najee Harris)

If you know, you know. Najee Harris is an absolute workhorse and will be a key piece for the Steelers again in 2022. He’s considered RB5 or RB6 by most and is all but certain to eclipse 300 touches this year if he’s healthy.
