Fantasy Football Mock Draft 2022: Round 9

  • Team 1: Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
  • Team 2: Zach Ertz TE, Arizona Cardinals
  • Team 3: DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Arizona Cardinals
  • Team 4: Chase Claypool, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Team 5: Mike Gesicki, TE, Miami Dolphins
  • Team 6: Derek Carr, QB, Las Vegas Raiders
  • Team 7: Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • *Team 8: Rashaad Penny, RB, Seattle Seahawks
  • Team 9: Robert Woods, WR, Tennessee Titans
  • Team 10: Tony Pollard, RB, Dallas Cowboys
  • Team 11: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
  • Team 12: Trey Lance, QB, San Francisco 49ers

A former first-round pick for the Seattle Seahawks, Rashaad Penny finally got some extended carries in 2021 and made the most of his opportunities. With Chris Carson — who has since retired — out, Penny appeared in 10 games with six starts and had 749 yards and six touchdowns.

This season, he should be the starter in Seattle and could put up even better numbers. Running backs are still incredibly important in fantasy, so adding players such as Penny could be the difference between winning and losing some weeks — especially if he takes off as some expect.

DeAndre Hopkins also went in this round and he’s a name to watch. He will be one of the best wideouts in the game when he does play but has to sit out six games due to a suspension. If you can afford to keep him on the bench until he returns, this could be a huge pick-up.
