Bubble receivers get their final chance to make the roster

One thing to look at is how the wide receivers unit performs. There are some receivers who are on the bubble. There are too many receivers so there will be some cuts there.

Those who still don’t have a roster spot secured will get a chance to make an impression. N’Keal Harry, Byron Pringle, Velus Jones Jr., and Tajae Sharpe are all out due to injury. Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown already have roster spots secure so they’ll play some but won’t have to worry.

That means that Dante Pettis, Isaiah Coulter, Nsimba Webster, Kevin Shaa, and Chris Finke have a chance to show they deserve a spot on the roster. In order for the offense to succeed, it needs to have the proper receivers. The Chicago Bears need someone other than Mooney to step up and earn some targets.

We saw Sharpe take advantage of his opportunity with his snaps in the first preseason game. Now he likely makes the roster. Now, these other roster bubble receivers have their shot with the other guys out. They need to take advantage of their shot.
