NFL Week 1 bold predictions for Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Washington Commanders

. Sunday, Sept. 11. 58. . 1:00 PM ET. 0. 52. 0

This is not one of the matchups that will keep us glued to the television but it’s worth noting that it will likely be a win for the Jaguars which is exciting for both Doug Pederson and Trevor Lawrence. This could potentially be the pairing that the franchise needs to bring the team back to a competitive position.  The pendulum initially swung towards the Commanders winning but Lawrence looked good in preseason.

Don’t get it confused, Carson Wentz is definitely better than Taylor Heinicke, but the addition is just not enough to get the Commanders up to par. The Jaguars’ draft was not the best but one of their selections makes his presence known against Washington.

Travon Walker gets his first NFL sack against Carson Wentz.

Walker looked fresh during the limited time he got during the preseason and he has the potential to be a game wrecker. It would be exciting and not unreasonable to believe he kicks off his rookie campaign by sacking Wentz and adding a few QB hits to the mix as well. Have a day.

NFL Week 1 bold predictions for Tennessee Titans vs. New York Giants

. . 4:25 PM ET. 0. 35. Sunday, Sept. 11. 0. 31

The Giants have exciting potential but it’s clear that without a few roster changes they aren’t ready to be truly competitive past Week 18. The Titans on the other hand are coming off a playoff loss that they never should have lost. After trading away star receiver AJ Brown to the Eagles the Titans drafted his replacement in Arkansas’ Treylon Burks to give Ryan Tannehill another big target.

Training camp reports were not favorable for Burks, indicating some conditioning issues and his asthma. Burks showed potential in the preseason and hopefully, head coach Mike Vrabel has more up his sleeve for the regular season.

Rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks scores two touchdowns in his first NFL game.

I know; back-to-back rookie bold predictions but the eyes don’t lie. All of those Burks fantasy owners will be happy they have him but sorry that they didn’t have him start. AJ Brown is hard to replace but Burks will fit in the system perfectly.
