2023 College Football  Week 1 gave us our first look at the upcoming prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft. Prospects showed up and showed out.

Finally! The 2023 College Football has begun with Week 1 in the books. For NFL Draft nerds like myself, it’s never too early to talk about the 2023 NFL Draft. In week one of the 2023 College Football season, we got our first look at some of the game’s best prospects — only five made this list. There was a slate of games with significant action, with future NFL stars taking the field. There were a ton of marquee games, with some highly anticipated matchups.

2023 NFL Draft prospects shine in Week 1 of College Football season

One of the best matchups featured Ohio State’s offensive tackle, Paris Johnson Jr. taking one Notre Dame edge rusher, Isaiah Foskey. Johnson got the W here with his ability to keep potential number one overall pick C.J. Stroud clean. We saw Anthony Richardson lead Florida to a victory with 106-yards and three touchdowns, but he did it with his legs. If he’s going to raise his stock as a quarterback, the redshirt sophomore has to do it through the air as well. Still, the 6-4 230-pound prototype is a name to keep an eye on.

Don’t expect to see any of the Top 10 prospects on this list. Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud can’t boost their draft stock any higher. They are the frontrunners for the QB1 spot. Alabama’s Will Anderson is a Heisman Trophy candidate as a defensive end and the clear-cut No. 1 prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft. A pair of Georgia Bulldogs, edge rusher Nolan Smith and corner Kelee Ringo, are Top 10 locks. So, no matter what he did, his stock couldn’t rise. There are some guys not on the list based on the level of competition — sorry Canes fans, Tyler Van Dyke didn’t make this list.
