4. Mitchell Tinsley, WR, Penn State
On Thursday night, Mitchell Tinsley proved why he was ready to make the jump from C-USA to a Power Five school. The former Western Kentucky star dominated last season with 87 catches, 1,402 yards, and 14 touchdowns. When facing Purdue, he looked like Penn State’s best wide receiver. Tinsley scored his first touchdown running a drag route from the slot. He did so with what he does best, making plays after the catch. He finished the game with seven catches, 84-yards, and a touchdown.

The 6-1 205-pound wideout has good size and quick feet. He’s tough after the catch, which makes up for his lack of speed. Tinsley is a high-motor, quick twitch wideout who projects well in the slot at the next level. He could rise from a Day 3 prospect to late Day 2 if he continues to impress.
3. Spencer Sanders, QB, Oklahoma State
Week one was a fantastic showing for Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders. The 6-1 210-pound signal-caller has a good arm with above-average athleticism. He shot out the gate against Central Michigan, throwing for 406-yards and four touchdowns. The Cowboys quarterback added 57 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground.

Spencer Sanders is ready-made for today’s NFL as a legit RPO option. He has a chance to make NFL teams reconsider him as one of the better quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft. If he can continue to put games like this, he could hear his name called on early Day 3 of the draft, if not higher.
