NFL 2022: MVP predictions, award predictions, and odds
NFL Offensive Rookie of the year: Breece Hall
The next rookie running out of Iowa State to take fantasy football by storm and become the New York Jets offense is Breece Hall. The New York Jets traded up into the second round to select the 6’1″ 220-pound Hall. This is similar to when Jonathan Taylor went to Indianapolis and was looking at working with a pass-catching running back, Nyhiem Hines.
Now, Hall goes to a team with a running back who is a smaller frame but a great pass catcher, Michael Carter. At first, both running backs will work together like in Indianapolis. Midway through the season, Breece Hall will take control of the backfield. With key games vs the Jaguars, Seahawks, and Lions near the end of the season, this will win people leagues in fantasy football, but Hall in those games will quiet all the noise of who is the best offensive rookie.
NFL Defensive rookie of the year: Aidan Hutchinson
Nick Bosa, Joey Bosa, Chase Young, and Aidan Hutchinson. Those are just a few of the top-edge rushers that have entered the NFL in the last few years. Coming out of the University of Michigan, Hutchinson was the projected number one pick until the Jaguars had other plans.
The Detroit Lions could not pass on the blessing received by a sensational player. In back-to-back years, the Lions secure two key players for each side of their lines. Besides hitting the hit song “Billie Jean”, Hutchinson will be terrorizing opposing quarterbacks and looking to win his very first NFL award, defensive rookie of the year this NFL season.
Hutchinson currently has the best odds at +450 to win the NFL award. Everyone loves money, so go ahead and place some on Hutchinson to capture the trophy in a few months.
