With the NFL season finally here, here are the six offensive rookies with the most to prove in 2022. Expectations for NFL rookies are different now than what they used to be. This class features a plethora of first-year players that have a lot on their shoulders. While one bad season won’t mean that they are busts, questions will arise as to just how good these players may be down the stretch. Cole Strange was a puzzling pick for the New England Patriots

When the Patriots came up on the clock in the first round, they had quite a few options to choose from. In typical New England fashion though, the Patriots shocked everyone and chose Cole Strange. Strange was an intriguing prospect, but the small school guard was viewed as a day two or three pick. It was shocking to see him go as early as he did.

While offensive linemen always have a bit of a learning curve, a lot of eyes will be on Strange to see how he holds up. If he can put together some solid tape, fans will look past the perceived reach and be happy with the player. On the flip side, if he struggles, fans will point to the fact that he should have been drafted later.
