NFL Week 2 Game #2: Carolina Panthers (0-1) @ New York Giants (1-0)

Sunday 1:00 PM

A disappointing loss in week one should not cause fans to lose hope just yet. Carolina missed opportunities to come out victorious, but there were small victories within the loss. Panther fans watched Baker Mayfield lead their team for the first time. His performance showed promise but left more to be desired. Chemistry with Robbie Anderson helped No. 6 find the endzone for the first time with his new franchise.

Watching Christian McCaffrey return to action warmed the hearts of Panther supporters. A Ten carry workload kept the sixth-year veteran busy. His thirty-three yards and explosive rushing touchdown were not enough to pull out a victory.

Saquon Barkley also returned to the gridiron Sunday. His game-winning two-point conversion helped Brian Daboll obtain his first win as an NFL Head Coach. Determination was eminent, and it showed in each run. His 164 rushing yards finished first in the category – signaling signs of the return of No.26.

Baker Mayfield is hungry to add to the win column this season. Success with the Giants would be a good start. A consecutive win for the Giants will confirm the confidence in Coach Daboll’s rebuilding process – returning New York to its Glory.
