4. Detroit Lions: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

QB. Alabama. 50. Pick Analysis. 4. player. Scouting Report. Bryce Young

Over the course of the last 3-4 months, it feels like just about everyone has jumped on the Detroit Lions bandwagon. I don’t blame them, but I’ve been the conductor of that train and anyone who’s been reading this site knows it. Outside of the biggest die-hard Detroit Lions fans, I don’t know that anyone’s been as optimistic about this team’s future outlook over the last six months and Detroit showed a lot of great things in a tough Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Detroit needs a quarterback it can build around for the future. I think they were right to pass on the 2022 NFL Draft class but 2023 will be a different story. To me, Bryce Young is arguably the perfect fit for this team. He’s on the smaller side at the position but other players have proven in recent years that doesn’t really mean anything. Young can spread the ball around, push it downfield, make plays on the move, and do everything asked of him within the confines of an offense.

5. Seattle Seahawks: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia

36. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Georgia. Kelee Ringo. CB. 5. player

The Seattle Seahawks played an emotionally charged game against Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos in Week 1, and they emerged victorious. The Seahawks made clutch plays when the Broncos would get close to scoring and Geno Smith’s otherworldly first half was enough despite the Seattle offense getting shut out in the second half. Despite the Seahawks winning against the Broncos in Week 1, issues abound for this team.

The Broncos moved the ball at will against Seattle for the entirety of four quarters, punting just once time. The Seattle secondary took a huge hit with the loss of Jamal Adams for the 2022 season, but the cornerback position features guys like Michael Jackson and Tariq Woolen right now. We’ll see which players can emerge over the course of the 2022 season as viable future starting options, but Seattle could use a bona fide stud like Kelee Ringo on the boundary and Ringo fits their profile of height and speed.
