6. New York Jets: Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern

Northwestern. Peter Skoronski. 6. player. 30. Scouting Report. OT. Pick Analysis

What are we supposed to make of the New York Jets right now? Nobody is getting a clean evaluation on this team because we haven’t seen Zach Wilson out there in real games. Because of that, I don’t know whether this team should work to replace him or build around him. One way or another, I think the Jets will have to address the offensive line once again in 2023 with the team clearly not fully bought in to Mekhi Becton long-term.

Peter Skoronski is the best of what might be the most underwhelming offensive tackle group in some time. That’s not to say that Skoronski is a bad prospect getting over-drafted, but in this instance, there’s an issue of supply and demand that needs to be pointed out. Still, he could step in and start immediately as a rookie. He might not be the flashiest pick but the Jets don’t really need those after their 2022 class.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson

Scouting Report. DL. Clemson. Bryan Bresee. 7. Pick Analysis. player. 52

The Jacksonville Jaguars keep on dipping into the Clemson Tigers talent pool, this time on the defensive side of the ball. Even just one week into his NFL career, I think it’s safe to say that the Jaguars got themselves a true building block defensively with Travon Walker. His dominance against the Washington Commanders wasn’t enough to get the Jaguars a win, but it was fun to see.

Now, Jacksonville has to work on putting studs around him on that side of the ball, and Bryan Bresee fits the bill. He’s a big, long, strong, athletic defensive lineman that can play all around the formation and cause havoc for opposing teams against both the run and pass.

While Bresee is a tremendous NFL prospect, he and his family are presently going through a grieving process as his sister, Ella, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to his family.
