2022 NFL Power Rankings Week 3: Dolphins shock the league, Raiders spiral downward
By Randy Gurzi
24. New York Jets
Don’t ever count Joe Flacco out. The 37-year-old veteran quarterback threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns as the New York Jets shocked the Cleveland Browns. New York erased a 13-point lead with fewer than two minutes to play.
Even more impressive was the play of Garrett Wilson, who was open all day. He pulled down eight receptions for 102 yards with two touchdowns, including the game-winner. Corey Davis also showed up, bringing in a 66-yarder on the drive before Wilson caught the winning score.
With all that being said, Greg Zuerlein was the real hero. Not only did he knock in a 57-yarder to tie it at 17 earlier in the fourth but he also had a great onside kick that got them the ball back, and allowed the Jets to steal the game.
23. Jacksonville Jaguars
Without Urban Meyer on the sideline, the Jacksonville Jaguars look like a legit NFL team. They lost to the Washington Commanders in Week 1 but it was a close game and had a few plays gone their way, they might have pulled it off. In Week 2, they had their home debut and made sure there was no doubt who would win.
Jacksonville completely shut down the Colts’ offense en route to a 24-0 win. They forced Matt Ryan to throw three picks while sacking him five times. Wide receiver Christian Kirk continues to make good on his massive contract, scoring twice on six receptions. They still need to show they can take on contenders, but 1-1 isn’t a bad start by any means.
