2022 NFL Power Rankings Week 3: Dolphins shock the league, Raiders spiral downward

16. Pittsburgh Steelers
A surprising win over Cincinnati didn’t carry the Pittsburgh Steelers to a victory this week as they found themselves on the wrong side of a 17-14 contest against New England.
The Steelers’ offense was stagnant all day, and a lot of that was on Mitchell Trubisky who was underwhelming with just 168 yards and a touchdown and interception. Najee Harris didn’t do much on the ground either, getting 49 yards on 15 carried with a long of just eight yards.
What was clear though, was how much they missed T.J. Watt. Without the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Mac Jones had all the time he needed and wasn’t sacked once. New England’s offense wasn’t much better but the lack of pressure allowed them to do just enough to upset the home crowd.
15. New York Giants
Not sure who saw this coming, but the New York Giants are in first place in the NFC East as of Sunday night. They’re sitting at 2-0 and while the Philadelphia Eagles can tie them if they beat the Vikings on Monday Night Football, New York will at least be tied for the lead in their division.
Following a couple of years in a row where they looked lost under Joe Judge, the Giants were expected to continue to struggle. Brian Daboll is a well-respected coach but the roster he inherited had some real flaws in it.
Even so, he has them undefeated with close wins against the Titans in Week 1 and now the Panthers. The schedule will get tougher, but this is a great start.
