3. Eagles at Commanders
The NFC East was awful in 2020 as the Washington Commanders won it with a record of 7-9. Last season, the division rebounded as two teams made the playoffs. The Philadelphia Eagles were a Wild Card entrant with a record of 9-8 in Nick Sirianni’s first season as head coach.
Dallas won the East at 12-5 but each team was one-and-done in the playoffs. So far in 2022, the Eagles have been the most impressive with a 2-0 start. The Giants are right there with them at 2-0 but their wins haven’t been as impressive as what the Eagles have done.
As for Washington and Dallas, they’re both sitting at 1-1 and will face one another this Monday. On Sunday, however, Washington will host the Eagles, and Philadelphia is favored by 5.5 points.
They not only have a strong offense with Jalen Hurts playing well and A.J. Brown fitting in nicely, but their defense also has its fair share of playmakers. They were all on display last week when they kept the Vikings’ offense from doing much of anything on Monday Night Football.
Washington, on the other hand, has been up and down on both sides of the ball. Having said that, Carson Wentz has thrown seven touchdowns in the first two games and will be looking for a measure of revenge against the team that gave up on him in favor of Hurts.
