1. Jaguars at Chargers
The Jacksonville Jaguars have looked much better under Doug Pederson this season, starting out 1-1 on the year. They lost by six to the Washington Commanders to kick off the season but bounced back with a huge win in Week 2.
Facing a divisional rival in the Indianapolis Colts, the Jags pitched a shutout, winning 24-0. Trevor Lawrence now has 510 yards with three touchdowns to start the year, but most importantly, he looks like the player we saw at Clemson.
Sunday will be a tough test for them as they head to Southern California where they’ll play against the Los Angeles Chargers. The home team is favored by seven points as they also sit at 1-1.
The Chargers played in two AFC West games and were able to beat the Las Vegas Raider but then lost to the Kansas City Chiefs by three. It was a frustrating loss as they seemed to have it well in control until Justin Herbert threw a pick-six on a player where Gerald Everett seemed to give up on the pass.
Herbert was also injured in the game and isn’t guaranteed to play against the Jags. Even if he does, he’s going to be limited and that could be enough to open the door for the underdogs.
