Darnell Mooney should shake off his terrible start with a strong Week 3 matchup against the Texans.

1.25u to win 1u. Darnell Mooney o3.5 Receptions -125 . player. 57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. . 3

  • Great buy low spot for Mooney
  • Has proven his talent
  • Running routes, just no targets
  • Great matchup with Stingley Jr.

This bet is also not for the faint of heart, considering Darnell Mooney only has two receptions for four yards on the season so far. However, a lot of this has to do with the fact that Justin Fields has only completed 15 passes on the season. This is a stat that must change if the Bears want to pull out a win against the Texans, who have shown that they love to play at a fast pace regardless of the score. I would look for the Bears coaching staff to design some easy completions to Mooney to get Fields more comfortable as a passer to start the game.

Additionally, Mooney is an extremely talented receiver and could take advantage of his cornerback matchup as well, making him even more likely to exceed his projected receiving totals.

Mooney should match up with rookie cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. this week, who struggled greatly in the first two weeks and gave up hundred-yard games to Micheal Pittman and Courtland Sutton. Additionally, Mooney has been running routes on nearly every Justin Fields dropback, and we should see some regression to the mean here from a guy who saw 140 targets last year. With that being said, I will happily take the over 3.5 receptions for Darnell Mooney in Week 3.

Davis Mills o210.5 Pass Yards

Mooney o42.5 Rec Yards
