TRADE: Chicago trades their 4th-round pick (114th) to Jacksonville for a fourth (118th) and sixth (191st)

Round 4 Pick 118 VIA TRADE: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State

Talk about a gamble on the draft board. Emmanuel Forbes is a player that will likely be taken in the middle or end of the third round. In this case, he slipped to the Bears even after they mock-traded down. This would be a big-time move as it would alleviate some pressure on Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon.

Playing in the SEC has made Forbes more fluid in his movement and become more aware of strong quarterback play. He has excellent vertical ability and can efficiently play both man and zone. In terms of coverage, Flores has the tools to be a quality player at the next level. His issues loom large in the run game, where he has struggled.

However, if the Bears were to take him, defensive backs coach James Rowe has a reputation for being extremely hard on cornerbacks and asking them to tackle. Strong coaching by Rowe and defensive coordinator Alan Williams should allow Flores to improve in that glaring weakness and become a potential quality piece on their defense.
