2023 NFL Mock Draft: C.J. Stroud back at No. 1

4. Detroit Lions: Kelee Ring, CB, Georgia
The Detroit Lions suddenly have one of the best offenses in football. So far in 2022, they’ve put up more points than anyone, which is a surprise. What’s not a surprise is their issues on defense.
Detroit is still losing since they can’t stop a nosebleed. Adding Aidan Hutchinson has been a huge help and now they get more talent on that side of the ball with the selection of Kelee Ringo from Georgia. Another stellar defender could at least push them into the ‘competent’ level, and if they get there, they might start winning.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers: Will Anderson, EDGE, Alabama
With T.J. Watt injured, it’s become evident that the Pittsburgh Steelers need more pass rushers. Alex Highsmith has done his best but outside of that. they haven’t been able to slow offenses down the way they’re used to. Throw in the fact that Watt makes a boatload of money and Highsmith is entering the final year of his deal in 2023 and it makes sense to pull the trigger on Will Anderson at this point.
Anderson is the premier pass rusher in this class and would be a sensational value at No. 5 overall. Pairing him with Watt for the next several years almost feels unfair.
