3. What about a Jerry Jeudy for Chase Claypool swap?

Another wide receiver that is apparently available for trade is Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Chase Claypool. Heading into Week 7 NFL action, Claypool’s value is probably pretty high right now coming off of a game in which he caught all seven targets against a tough Buccaneers defense for 98 yards and a touchdown. With that being said, the Steelers have invested in Diontae Johnson and they just drafted George Pickens in 2022. Claypool could be the odd-man out in the near future but they might still want to have an upside piece at receiver.

Once again, Jerry Jeudy has three years of team control left on his rookie deal, being a former first-round pick. Claypool is from the same 2020 NFL Draft class but as a second-round pick, he has just two years left of team control.

Jeudy may be a better fit for what the Steelers do offensively and could work with a quick-strike style and young QB Kenny Pickett.

On the other side of things, Claypool could be a better asset for Russell Wilson as a big-bodied target. Wilson’s greatest strength is putting the ball downfield and giving his receivers a chance to make a play. The 6-foot-4, 238-pound Claypool is certainly a big target with a big catch radius, and that is perhaps something that could help the Broncos’ offense more now than the quick-footed Jeudy.

Although both of these teams might just prefer draft picks if they are going to trade these young receivers, there’s a chance a player-for-player swap could at least be intriguing to each of them.
