Competition continues to rise as the NFL regular season progresses. Standings in both conferences remain competitive, as franchises work diligently towards earning a playoff berth.

First-seed rights belong to the Bills and Eagles if the post-season began this weekend – providing extra motivation for struggling teams to fix internal issues. While coaching staffs gameplan for another weekend on the gridiron, here are a few Week 7 games spectators should circle on their calendars.

A victory against Tom Brady was enough to keep the heat off Mike Tomlin’s squad in week six. Pittsburgh’s 20-18 win was hard-fought but came at a cost. Kenny Pickett left the game with a concussion on Sunday, leaving Trubisky to finish the job. Assistance from Chase Claypool and Najee Harris carried Pittsburgh to victory. Claypool led the receiving core in receptions (7) and receiving yards (96), while Harris contributed from the backfield. Matt Canada’s offense finished the game without a turnover – a key ingredient in their win against the Bengals in Week 1.

Miami’s offense is efficient and has made the most of their six games this season. Frank Smith’s squad ranks eighth in average yards per game (366.2). Improvements at receiver rank the Dolphins second in total passing yards (1,938). Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle average more than 13 yards per reception.

News of Tua Tagovailoa returning into the lineup this week make this match-up a must-see. A concussion sidelined Miami’s quarterback for two games, but he is anxious to make his return. Teryl Austin’s defense has a reputation for keeping the Steelers in close games. Miami is on a three-game losing streak since Tua’s injury – making this matchup a test of willpower.
