The Dallas Cowboys already bolstered their defensive line with Johnathan Hankins but could still use some help at the 2022 NFL Trade Deadline

After saying they had no intention of making any moves at the NFL trade deadline, the Dallas Cowboys went and made a move. It was a smart one too, as they added a run-stuffing tackle to the defensive line, which was sorely needed.

As much as that will help them gain ground in the NFC East, they should continue to look for more talent as they try to again become a contending team. Here are three players they should consider adding before the Nov. 1 deadline.

3. Denzel Mims, WR, New York Jets

Dallas has been linked to Denzel Mims before and the pairing makes sense. Mims is a Texas native that went to Baylor, where he was a star. He played well enough to hear his name called in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He then had a decent rookie campaign but saw his numbers decline in 2021. So far in 2022, he’s been mostly inactive and caught his first pass of the season in Week 7, which went for four yards.

Dallas would likely get the 6-foot-3, 207-pound Mims on the field more than New York does. They’re currently using CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and Noah Brown but don’t have a fourth guy to rotate in that they trust. Adding Mims provides them someone who was talented enough to go in Round 2 and would have something to prove. If anything, it’s worth the roll of the dice, especially since a trade would likely only require a late-round pick.
