The Buffalo Bills are arguably the top team in the AFC right now but they can still improve their chances by looking at these players at the 2022 NFL Trade Deadline

After a win over the Chiefs in Week 6, the Buffalo Bills headed into their bye week with a record of 5-1 — and they have to feel like they’re the team to beat in the AFC right now.

It’s hard to find a flaw on this team that hasn’t surrendered more than 21 points in a single game while holding two teams to seven or fewer already. They’ve also dropped at least 30-points three times including once against the defending Super Bowl Champions as well as scoring 41 against the No. 1 seed in the AFC from a year ago.

With all that being said, it’s never a bad idea to add more talent and the Bills should look to do that at the 2022 NFL trade deadline. Here are three players they could target to increase their odds of going the distance.

3. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Denver Broncos

With Noah Fant being sent to Seattle in the Russell Wilson trade, Albert Okwuegbunam was supposed to be the next man up. He has 330 yards on 33 receptions in 2021 as the No. 2 tight end but has taken a turn in the wrong direction this season.

In five appearances, he has just seven receptions for 70 yards and has fallen down the depth chart. For that reason, he makes sense as a trade piece and the Bills could use some depth at the position.

Dawson Knox has developed into a good starting tight end but Buffalo can use some depth behind him. They had hoped O.J. Howard could provide that as a free-agent signing but he was unable to make the 53-man roster. Okwuegbunam could end up finding a fresh start while giving them that second receiving weapon at the position.
