Buffalo Bills 3 dream trade targets at 2022 NFL Trade Deadline
By Randy Gurzi
1. Kareem Hunt, RB, Cleveland Browns
On the heels of a four-game losing streak, the Cleveland Browns are reportedly ready to start trading away some of their players that are on expiring contracts. One such name is Kareem Hunt, who was the NFL rushing champ in 2017 while he was a rookie for the Kansas City Chiefs.
He eventually had to find a new home when he was let go following the release of a video of him in an altercation with a female. Hunt headed to Cleveland, which was his hometown, and has been able to rehab his image as the No. 2 back behind Nick Chubb.
In four seasons with the Browns, he’s amassed 1,669 yards rushing with 16 touchdowns while adding another 850 yards and seven touchdowns on 112 receptions.
The Buffalo Bills could be in the market for a player like Hunt, especially knowing they wanted to see what it would take to land Christian McCaffrey.
Right now, Devin Singletary has been their starter and he’s been a good option with 256 yards rushing and 167 as a receiver. Hunt, however, would be an upgrade and could help Buffalo field a one-two punch at running back — with both of them being excellent in the receiving game.
As for the cost, it appears a fourth-round pick would get it done, which feels like a fair price for what he would bring to the table.
