Competition in the NFC is on the rise as franchises prepare for the post-season. Coaching staffs work diligently to gain separation from opponents – resulting in close games in the closing weeks. The race for the Vince Lombardi trophy has begun, and analysts are already declaring their playoff predictions.

Here are my NFL predictions for NFC divisional winners with half of the 2022 season in the books.

NFC North: Minnesota Vikings: Overall Record: (6-1) / Divisional Record: (3-0) Conference Record: (5-1)

Disrespect in the Power Rankings motivates Kevin O’Connell’s squad to remain consistent throughout the season. Their 24-7 loss to the Eagles caught fans by surprise – leaving doubt in Minnesota’s community. Since the defeat, the Vikings have been on a tear. Five consecutive wins placed Minnesota first in the division standings. The Vikings’ offense ranks 10th in points per game (24.9) – providing Ed Donatell’s defense with assurance after a stop. Minnesota’s defense ranks eighth in takeaways (13) – feasting on mistakes made by opposing teams.

NFC North Team to Watch: Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers’ experience under center is different than previous seasons. Winning relies on his shoulders without his former No.1 receiver, but Rodgers is determined to find a solution. Four consecutive losses will force Matt LaFleur’s coaching staff to pull out new tricks. A slate of divisional games remains on Green Bay’s schedule, but the division is still up for grabs. Detroit and Chicago are struggling against their opponents – presenting the Packers a chance to compete for the North.
