NFL Week 9 Reactions: Miami Dolphins hold off the Chicago Bears 35-32

Outstanding quarterback performances were on display in Chicago during an intense interconference match-up. Justin Fields and the Bears were hungry to capture on their home turf- with hopes of gaining ground in the NFC standings. Defeating Tua Tagovailoa wouldn’t come easy. Miami’s offense has been sensational this season, ranking fourth in yards per game (380.4) and tenth in points per game (23.7).

Chicago did their best to contain Frank Smith’s offense, but it did not go as planned. Tagovailoa finished with 302 passing yards on 21 completions. Tyreek Hill (143) and Jaylen Waddle (85) scorched the opposing secondary – combining for 228 yards receiving.

Fields did try to give his team a fighting chance. He finished with 123 passing yards and four total touchdowns. No.1’s 178 yards rushing caught Miami’s defense off-guard, and almost led the Bears to a victory. Chicago fought until the end but came up short. Their loss in week 9 will motivate Eberflus’ squad as they continue to compete this season.
