4. Houston Texans trade Brandin Cooks to a playoff contender

All Brandin Cooks does is find a way to get open downfield. He’s a walking 1,000+ yard receiver no matter where he goes. Since being drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Cooks has been, well… cooking defensive backs. He’s played for three different franchises where he had at least one 1,000-yard season.

He’s bounced around, and he was hoping to get moved one more time. The Dallas Cowboys could have used him as a guy who could stretch the field opposite of CeeDee Lam and Noah Brown. With Gallup working his way back, Cooks would have been a nice piece to have.

Maybe Aaron Rodgers would have been playing better if he had someone like Brandin Cooks on the roster. No, he isn’t a true No. 1, but he’s a veteran guy who could produce at a high level while helping the younger wideouts. Maybe the Ravens and Cooks would have been a perfect match, seeing as how Lamar Jackson throws a pretty good deep ball. Unfortunately for Cooks, Nick Sirianni didn’t want to eat the majority of that $18 million cap that it would take to move him.
