NFL Week 11 Prediction: Buffalo Bills bounce back vs Cleveland Browns

Can NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills bounce back from their Week 10 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings this week? That’s the question on everyone’s mind after the team many have pegged as serious contenders for a Super Bowl appearance looks to play through some adversity in the middle of the season.

The Bills have lost two consecutive games now, will have to face a defense this week led by Myles Garrett, and will be playing in Detroit due to a massive snowstorm hitting Buffalo. Then, they’ll have to play a game four days later on the road in Detroit once again against the Lions on Thanksgiving.

This is going to be a huge test this week for the Buffalo Bills and one that they’ll pass if they can keep the Browns’ defense from getting to Allen. In three losses this season, he’s been sacked 11 times. In six wins this season, he’s been sacked just seven total times.

NFL Week 11 Prediction: Vikings prove they are, indeed, for real vs Cowboys

Everyone is trying to figure out if these Minnesota Vikings are contenders or pretenders after playing a fairly weak front-end schedule.

In fact, six of the Vikings’ first eight opponents are below .500, which tells us that their wins have come against below-average teams, casting doubt on how they may fare against well-rounded teams later in the season. Here’s how the current records look for the team’s first eight opponents of the season:

  • Green Bay: 4-6
  • Philadelphia: 8-1 (lost, 24-7)
  • Detroit: 3-6
  • New Orleans: 3-7
  • Chicago: 3-7
  • Miami: 7-3 (won, 24-16)
  • Arizona: 3-6
  • Washington: 5-5

But their overtime win on the road in Buffalo went a long way to quashing the chatter that these Vikings haven’t beaten anyone of merit. They’re now 2-1 against teams that are above .500, giving them some momentum for their next three games against teams all in the playoff hunt (Dallas, New England, and New York Jets).

With home-field advantage against the Cowboys this week, expect the Vikings to draw up a game plan that minimizes Dallas’ potent defense, which ranks in the top five in the NFL in total sacks and turnovers this season. Plus, how can you go against the Vikings when Justin Jefferson pulled off this insane catch last week?
