The Las Vegas Raiders have had two straight walk-off wins in a row thanks to two of the best offensive players at their positions in the entire league right now. Last week, it was Davante Adams with a walk-off touchdown in overtime against the Denver Broncos. This week, it was running back Josh Jacobs capping off an awesome back-and-forth contest against the Seattle Seahawks with a huge run.

Jacobs finished the game with over 300 total yards from scrimmage thanks to an 86-yard sprint in overtime after both the Raiders and Seahawks had already possessed the ball.

At this point, you can’t help but be incredibly impressed by the season Josh Jacobs has been having. Although he hasn’t played like this the entire season, he’s certainly been playing like this more often than not lately. Dating back to early October in a matchup against the Denver Broncos, here are some of Josh Jacobs’ biggest performances so far this season:

  • 10/2 vs. DEN: 144 rushing yards, 2 TD
  • 10/10 vs. KC: 154 rushing yards, 1 TD
  • 10/23 vs. HOU: 143 rushing yards, 3 TD
  • 11/20 vs. DEN: 160 yards from scrimmage
  • 11/27 vs. SEA: 303 yards from scrimmage, 2 TD

Jacobs is enjoying arguably the best overall season of his career and certainly when you consider the fact he’s averaging over five yards per carry and is also adding 7.4 yards per reception. He’s gone from being a guy the Raiders were playing in the Hall of Fame game in the preseason to being potentially this year’s favorite to be first-team All-Pro at the running back position.

It is worth noting that Jacobs is in a contract year this year since the Raiders declined his fifth-year team option, which looks like a bad move in hindsight. Although the Raiders are not playing overly well when you look at this season as a whole, Josh Jacobs has been a consistent source of offense for them and is having his best year yet in terms of total yards from scrimmage.

We’re now looking at a player that is very likely to get franchise tagged in the coming months and someone the Raiders will probably want to figure out a way to lock up long-term.
