2023 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys add more defense, Seahawks grab QB

18. New York Giants: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
Brian Daboll has done a tremendous job turning things around for the New York Giants in just one season. Despite not having a true No. 1 wideout and Daniel Jones under center, the Giants are currently in line to make the playoffs.
Chances are high they won’t bring back Jones and it would be ideal to draft a quarterback. But as low as they are in Round 1, there’s not going to be any surefire picks. Instead, they’d be better off landing a veteran free agent such as Jacoby Brissett who can fill in for the next season.
As for the wide receiver position, they roll the dice on Jaxon Smith-Njigba from Ohio State. He’s missed nearly the entire 2022 campaign but he set a Big Ten record in 2021 despite Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson also eating up targets.
19. New York Jets: Jaelyn Duncan, OT, Maryland
The New York Jets are hopeful that Mike White can continue to play well for them because Zach Wilson hasn’t been impressive at all. No matter what they decide going forward, they need to improve their offensive line.
This season, each quarterback that’s been under center has been under constant duress. Jaelyn Duncan from Maryland is the one they bring in to help solidify things up front.
