Pick Analysis. OG. O'Cyrus Torrence. 48. Scouting Report. Florida. 16. player

16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: O’Cyrus Torrence, OG, Florida

O’Cyrus Torrence played well at Louisiana but there were questions about how well he would perform in the SEC after transferring to Florida. Now we have the answer — he rose to the occasion and proved to be even better than expected.

Torrence is the highest-graded guard in the SEC in several important categories according to Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus.

"“The 6-foot-5, 347-pounder currently leads all SEC guards in overall grade (89.0), run-blocking grade (91.7), and positively graded run-block percentage (23.6%). Not bad for a player who wasn’t even sure if he could hang at this level.” — Sikkema, PFF"

If that wasn’t enough reason to like him, Torrence was also Bill Napier’s favorite player at Louisiana which is why he brought him along when he became the head coach with the Gators. An excellent player that coaches love, Torrence can improve the Bucs interior which has been rough this season.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Broderick Jones. Georgia. 17. player. 13

17. Los Angeles Chargers: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

For the Los Angeles Chargers, this is going to be a tough decision. They have talented wide receivers but could stand to bring in a rookie since Mike Williams and Keenan Allen continue to struggle with durability. They’ve also had injury concerns on the offensive line as well as terrible play overall.

They’ve used early picks in recent years on Zion Johnson and Rashawn Slater but might need to go back to the well again this year. That decision becomes slightly easier with Broderick Jones from Georgia still on the clock.

He’s one of the best offensive linemen in this class and while he’s best suited at left tackle, the aforementioned linemen have the versatility to move around. If all three can stay healthy, Justin Herbert should have more time to make the highlight-reel plays we all love to see.
