New York Jets (7-5) at Buffalo Bills (9-3)

Sunday, December 11, 1:00 PM ET

The Buffalo Bills are coming off of a convincing victory last week against the New England Patriots, and the win was all the more impressive considering the Patriots were wearing those glorious throwback uniforms. All kidding aside, the Bills do seem to be hitting something of a stride lately. They have won three in a row dating back to their two wins in Detroit, one of which was a “home” game against the Browns.

After beating the Lions on Thanksgiving and following it up with a win against the Patriots this past week, the Bills are rolling again after that stunning overtime loss to the Vikings about a month ago now.

The Jets, meanwhile, are one of the hardest teams in the league to figure out right now, at least as far as NFL picks are concerned. Do I buy into Mike White and his apparent chemistry with this very talented young wide receiver corps? Do I buy into the Jets defense coming up huge on the road against the Bills?

I think there’s a good chance, with the way this NFL season has gone, that we will see the unexpected in Buffalo but I’m going to ride the wave the Bills are on with their three straight wins and say they come out on top in this one.

Buffalo is simply too good for the Jets right now, unless New York gets a herculean road performance from Mike White. The Jets did have the Vikings within an inch of their lives this past week and they have put up nearly 500 yards of total offense the last couple of games with White at the helm. It’s not out of the question that the Jets defense could step up in a big way against the Bills and the offense can win a shootout, but I’m taking the Bills either way.

Prediction: Bills win 29-24
